To any and all mothers that may or may not read this blog, Happy Day! May your family’s appreciate and adore you as they should. And if they don’t… may you at least know that somewhere someone thanks you for tolerating the next generations.

So I am taking a shower today and talking to myself, like I tend to do, and I thought of this little rant…

It started with the realization that my husband would best put his ridicules intellect to work best as an engineer with a strong understanding of spatial physics. Now this realization made me laugh as I rationalized that the term ‘strong understanding of spatial physics,’ is akin to the most moronic statement I have said to myself in a while. I mean seriously…

Lets break it down.

Spatial physics… the understanding of how physics works in space… saying that any human being on this entire planet has a ‘strong understanding’ of that is basically the same as me saying that I figured out everything there is to know about earths physics by running a few tests on the very tip of the South African peninsula. That analogy sounds pretty stupid, huh? So does the original statement of ‘strong understanding of spatial physics.’ Anyone that says otherwise is either completely insane or the equivalent of a Christian priest that claims he knows for a fact exactly what god is and what it wants, based on a book written, edited, then edited, then edited etc… by human philosophers.

Space is vast, more so than most human minds are capable of even understanding. Saying that we have a ‘strong understanding’ of how it works is closer to a philosophical argument than anything fact based.

Philosophers prefer their vague statements and rationalizations, trust me. I am one. We base it on our understandings, with maybe the occasional fact is tossed in to make those rationalizations more realistic, but they are still not facts. Physicists however are not by definition philosophers…

So basically, my argument here is, that my own comment about Rich was basically asinine… and not only do I retract it… I argue the validity of my retraction and I felt the need to share.

Kinda sad when your right about something depressing… oh well. I am kinda wondering why I even bother to post any more. It’s basically just my private collection of picture that I can keep on the web… Guess that’s my fault, or that’s what Rich says anyway.
